The Best way to use Reddit for Advertising

What is Reddit?

Reddit is a social news and entertainment website. It was founded by Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in June of 2005. It is owned by a private company, Advance Publications, and they currently employ 20 people. There slogan is "The front page of the internet"

How to use it?

When your posting to reddit for advertising purposes you must tread carefully. Most redditers do not like others posting for personal gain. When your posting something don't say, "hey check out this video that I made." or anything like that. In the title just let people know what the video, or post is about.
Once you've posted it, try and get your friends to upvote it. It helps if your in a smaller subreddit. For instance, instead of posting your video in the video subreddit, post it in the filmmaker subreddit.

The best time to post your link is in the morning between 6 and 8. The faster you get your friends and family to upvote it the higher it will rise. This way when people are checking their reddit feeds in the morning, they'll see your post.

Conclusion/ Summary

The first thing you need to do is come up with an interesting title describing your link. Second, you need to find a subreddit that's small, but not to small. Third you need to wait until between 6 and 8 in the morning. Fourth, you need to tell are your friends and family to upvote it.

Good luck! Hopefully I'll see one of your posts. If you have anymore suggestions leave them in the comments.

Enhance Your Views: A way to get free Youtube views, twitter followers, facebook likes, and reddit upvotes

What is it?

Enhance your views is a website that allows you to earn credits to use on their site. I would only advise using it when your first starting out, and trying to get traffic to whichever medium your interested in.

How?

You can make credits by just simply letting it run in your browser. If your planning on using it for a YouTube video. Don't have the video monetized. You might get banned. Like I said earlier, I wouldn't use this all the time, just in the very beginning to gain traction.

Conclusion

Enhance your views is a great site for gaining traction in your area, or areas. If you have a better site please share.

Do you Want to use a Blog to Advertise your YouTube Channel?

Hey everybody,

Getting a Blog

So you want to know how to use your blog to advertise your YouTube Channel. Well here it is. First your going to need to make a blog. Some great free sites are,

Blogger

Tumblr

SquareSpace

Content

After you've gotten your blog setup you can start writing. When people are looking for a blog to read they are trying to find interesting content.

Title

Once you have a blog with good content you might still not be getting very many clicks. The reason for  this is because people will only click on the blog if the title looks interesting. A great way to get clicks is by asking a question in the title. People want to know things, it's in our nature. So when titling your blog try and exploit that.

Promoting your YouTube Channel

Now just having people view your blog isn't going to advertise your channel. You need to embed your videos into your blog post. Try and get people interested in your video while they're reading your blog so they click on it next.

Conclusion

So in conclusion we see that to advertise a YouTube channel with a blog you need, a good title to get people to click, then you need good content that gets people interested in your videos. If you do these things you'll be sure to start building a large YouTube channel.

If you want to read about a way to share your videos to thousands of interested people read this post.

Video Challenge

Try and guess how we did this effect. Give your answer in the comments.

Marketing 101

This post is just supposed to give you an idea of what marketing is. Check out some of my other posts for more information.

What is Marketing?

Marketing = Spreading ideas

How Marketing Works?

1. The consumers worldviews and frames were there before you were.

2. People only notice things that change and new things.

3. First impressions start the story.

4. Great marketers tell stories that people can believe.

5. Marketers with authenticity thrive.

Common Misconceptions

1. If your not in charge then you can't get people to listen to you. (You can.)

2. If your not in charge then you can't control the conversation. (You can.)

3. If your not in charge then you can't keep your business stable.

The Trick to being Successful at Marketing

To be successful at marketing there is one key component. That key component is your story. To be successful at marketing you need a "great story."

There are nine parts to a great story. Here they are.

1. A great story is true

Not factual, but consistent and authentic.

2. A great story makes a promise

You'll receive money, fun, safety, shortcuts. The promise is bold and it's exceptional.

3. A great story is trusted

No marketer can be truly successful, unless they have credibility.

4. A great story is subtle

Let the audience draw the conclusion.

5. A great story is fast

It should engage the consumer right away. The first impression is more powerful than you would imagine.

6. A great story is NOT aimed at everyone

If you need to water down your story to fit everyone. It will not succeed.

7. A great story does NOT appeal to logic, but to our senses

People decide what they want and like through their senses.

8. A great story doesn't contradict itself

You need to match the image to the message.

9. A great story agrees with our worldviews.

Great stories don't teach new things, they agree with current beliefs.

So there you have it, the nine parts to a great story.

A great story,

1. is true
2. makes a promise
3. is trusted
4. is subtle
5. is fast
6. is NOT aimed at everyone
7. does NOT appeal to logic, but to our senses
8. doesn't contradict itself
9. agrees with our worldviews.

Persevering! How to Persevere!

Persevering is a very important when trying to overcome your mistakes.

Word Meaning

Persevering - The present participle of persevere

Verb -

Continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no indication of success.

What It Means to You

There are many times when we have to persevere. Whether it's an athletic event, getting traffic to our blogs, or getting viewers and subscribers for our YouTube Channel's. If I were to list every instance that one might need to persevere, I would be here all day.

For this post I will focus mostly on the times we need to persevere, when were not getting the results that we're looking for, because it is the most common reason for persevering.

It is very difficult to keep making new content when you only have a few

viewers. Many big YouTubers and some bloggers have talked about how their first few years were extremely slow. Most of them talked about their thoughts of quitting, but instead they persevered and became what they are today. You can also be one of these people, but to make it you need to be committed, and persevere. Don't give into defeat.
Many people will put out a large quantity of content. That doesn't cut it, and that doesn't count as persevering. Taking the easy way out is not continuing your course of action in the face of difficulty. To persevere you would have to instead, create a large quantity of quality content, or even just a regular stream of quality content. You need to do the work.
When you're in these lows it's very hard to stay motivated. Before you get to the low, try and pick something to read, listen to, or watch, so when you hit the low you have something to bring yourself back up. It's best if the thing reminds you why you're trying to persevere.

Rules to #Hashtags and What They're Used For

What is the Hashtag

The Hashtag marks either keywords, topics, or both. Hashtags are used to start conversations and keep
them going. If you want to start a conversation, pick a Hashtag and start using it. If you want to join a conversation, find the Hashtag being used, then start using the Hashtag.

How to Use the Hashtag

If you want to make a Hashtag that is more then one word, use the camel case, or CamelCase. Using the camel case is simple, all you do is take out spaces and replace them with capitalized letters. For instance, #camel case would show has #camel on twitter for the Hashtagm, because you used a space. Hashtag #camelcase looks like one word, so to get rid of confusion we do this, #CamelCase.

When your trying to get your tweets noticed, pick one Hashtag to use. That way when people are looking for your tweets they can find all of them in one spot. Also by having one common Hashtag you keep everything bunched together, as opposed to using a ton of different Hashtags and spreading yourself across the whole internet. If you use multiple Hashtags to advertise, you'll need a lot more people to make it go viral.

The Unwritten Law for the Hashtag

One of the biggest laws for Hashtags is, never spam. Don't use anymore then three Hashtags at the very most. Try to keep it down to two, or less. Don't what digbeu seka gbagbo did. No one is going to like you anymore for it. If anything you might lose followers and get marked as spam.
The other thing you shouldn't do with Hashtags is just throw a trending Hashtag in your tweet for the
fun of it. If your going to use a trending Hashtag, at least make a tweet the relates to it. Once again, no one is going to like you anymore for it. If anything you might lose followers and get marked as spam.

Conclusion

So we went over what a Hashtag is, how to use a hashtag, and the unwritten laws for the Hashtag. If you have any questions feel free to ask. You can either ask in the comments below, or you can ask on my twitter, which is @creativevideo12. Thanks for reading. I hope it helped.

Using Twitter for Online Marketing

How to use Twitter for online marketing

Creating a Twitter Account

The first thing you need to do is create a Twitter account. When your doing this, make sure that you
have your brand highlighted. Set your name as the name of your company. Then set the @ to your companies name also. This way when people see your twitter account they know who you are.

The next thing you'll want to do is summarize your business in the "Bio" section. Then you'll want to add a profile picture. For this you'll want to pick the picture that represents your business the best. Two ideas are, first your company logo, second a picture of people enjoying your product. For instance if you sold board games, you would have a picture of people enjoying one of your board games.

After you've done that, you'll want to put where you're located in "location." The last thing you'll do is add your companies website to the website bar. If you want to see my twitter account, check out this link.

Getting More Followers

Now you have your twitter account, but no followers. The first thing that you can do to gain followers is have all of your friends and family follow you. The problem with this is that you only have so many family members and friends. Plus they probably already know about your company.

The whole point of using twitter for marketing, or any other means of marketing for that matter, is to spread the word about your company. So the way to get more followers is to find people who fit your targeted group. To do this I use a site called Twellow. It is super easy to use. Just find the category your looking for and start following other people. Most of the people you follow will follow you back.

Now it doesn't end there. You'll have to keep on freeing up your following space. Twitter will only allow you 2000 following, until your exceed that number in followers. You could use Twellow to unfollow the people who aren't following you back, but I prefer Twitter Auto Follow Back. Twitter Auto Follow back is much quicker, when your trying to unfollow any more then ten people.

Using your Twitter Followers

Now that you have your twitter followers, what do you do? It's simple, let them know when your having promotions, getting new products, or any other noteworthy thing happens. Make sure that you post on a regular basis, that way people don't unfollow, because they think your inactive.

There you have it. How to use Twitter as an online marketing tool. The links to the sites I mentioned are below. They're also where I first mentioned them, also.

How to use Google+ to share your video to thousands of interested people for Free! Free Advertising and Marketing

Hey Everybody,

Looking for ways to get your YouTube content viewed?

Are you looking for a easy way to get your YouTube content viewed? Well I started looking for ways to get my content viewed just a little bit ago. I found that using Google+ Communities is a great way to show your content to many.

How?

How do you do this? Well here is what I did. First you need a Google+ account. After you make that go to communities on the side bar. Depending on what your video is about you'll want to share it to different audiences. Your goal with this is to show your videos to as many people as you can, that might be interested. Yes, you will have communities that you share all your videos to. For instance, I have a couple film maker communities that I always post my new videos to. Once you find a community you like click the "Join Community" button towards the top. You have now joined a community. To share the video and get as many views as possible, write something interesting that would get people interested in your video, or even videos.

Things to Watch for!

Are there other things to look out for, other than community names? Yes, one of the things you want to look out for are how many people are in the community. I have found that communities with 600 or less work better than communities with a couple 1000 members. The reason for this is the amount of time your post will stay towards the top, where people can see it without scrolling. Some people who have joined these communities don't share on them. They just watch and read what other people have shared. When there are thousands of members, a lot more posts are made. The other thing to watch out for is if the community is okay with people advertising their content. However, that has never been a problem for me. The last thing that you should look out for is that your sharing your content under the right category, in each individual community.

hope this helped! Now go make some videos and remember, a good video is never to long and a  bad video is never short enough.

Video

One of my videos below. Do you ever remember shooting at things, people, or animals with your...... finger gun(s)? Watch to see what could of been done.
