Mechanical Keyboard Typing Speeds

So you think your going to get a mechanical keyboard and your typing speed is going to increase another 20 wpm or more. Well that's not what's really going to happen. Here's what will actually happen if your most people. 

So you'll pick out the keyboard you want. Once you get it you'll plug it in and start using it. Now instead of typing faster you'll probably type about 10 wpm slower than normal. This is normal. After a few months you'll notice that your starting to speed up. After about 6 months or so you'll be 20 wpm faster, or even more. Whatever you do don't get your mechanical keyboard out of the box expecting to type way faster right away. I'm sure that some of you will get it out of the box and get used to it faster than others, and some of you might take longer to get used to it. Just remember that it is a much more comfortable experience. Enjoy typing!!!
